How Is the Service Paid?

PLOWS Home Delivered Meals Program is partially funded by the Suburban Area Agency on Aging from Title III-C2 of the Older Americans Act through the Illinois Department on Aging. This funding covers a portion of a limited number of meals. Other funding comes from local United Ways. The final portion of support is the contribution made by clients who actually receive the meals. These contributions are needed to maintain the program as well as allow for increasing the service.

Participants are given an opportunity to contribute to the cost of their service. Contributions can be made by cash or check. No one is denied service because of inability to contribute.

Details on how much a participant may wish to contribute can be discussed with the In-Home Services Coordinator prior to starting services. All contributions are confidential.

If you have any questions or need more information please call the PLOWS office at (708) 422-6722.
